“He chose a pharmaceutical paycheck over helping a little girl.”

Dr. Stuart Davis in Peachtree City, Georgia, ruined my life from the time I was a little kid in the late 90s/early 2000s. This man gave SSRIs to a seven-year-old and misdiagnosed me multiple times with everything ranging from ODD to childhood bipolar (later, all were recanted with a diagnosis of Autism and PTSD from someone competent). It was all up to whatever drugs he was currently being paid to distribute. I’ve since learned from other reviews about his practice that I am not alone in this. I was being physically abused at home—he did not ask questions about any of this when I was coming into his office with bruises on my legs. He had my parents sit in on every appointment, and I felt I could not be honest with them around.

It was suggested I go into one of those wilderness programs through the troubled teen industry. When I had been sufficiently terrified by that, he stuck me in a program for teen delinquents. I was the only child there without a probation officer and was the youngest by several years. At 13, he forced me into inpatient treatment at a horribly abusive facility in Smyrna. We moved out of the state shortly after, and I was able to escape my situation, but I can’t undo what he’s done, even now in my thirties. The SSRIs I was on did immense damage due to the age I was at when I was given them. I am terrified of reaching out for help because this man chose to give in to a pharmaceutical paycheck instead of helping a little girl who was being beaten nightly.
